Realistic wild ecosystems are critical component for simulation games like flight simulators and off road racing games. Such ecosystems are complex worlds with a lot of objects. Apart from huge terrains such world-objects also take up significant amount of graphics memory. Game ecosystem objects consist of trees, shrubs, wildlife, birds, plants etc. As several geometric models are needed to create a realistic looking ecosystem, it becomes a difficult task to create and manage them in large worlds. The problem becomes even more difficult if these objects have to interact in a physically-realistic way with the game objects like cars or planes. Wildlife behavior and interaction with the game objects is also an interesting area of research where TQ wants to focus on to increase the realism of the game titles produced.
