Graduated from Peking University in Beijing, China (Bachelor of Science, 2001) and National University of Singapore (Master of Science, 2004), both in Computer Science. Fu Qian has 5 years¡¯ commercial experience in IT industry. He worked in Hanwang Technology in Beijing, where he was solely responsible for the designing, development and quality control in developing an application which works with a hand writing device called CrossPad from IBM Corporation. After graduation from NUS, he worked in MatrixView Limited for around 2 years. What he did there was to develop software solutions in healthcare and document management industries based on the core compression technology. The company successfully deployed the healthcare solution in cardiology department of National University Hospital, Singapore, and document solutions in Singapore General Hospital and The HongKong and Shanghai Banking Corporation in Hong Kong.

In Aug 2006, he joined TQ Global as a Senior R&D Engineer. His responsibility in TQ is supervision of students under the Master of Engineering program in NTU, coordination and cooperation with the teams in US (2XL Games, Phoenix) and China (TQ Global, Shenzhen), research in game technologies and development of games. For Baja game, he developed a few tools which were used to speed up development and testing for both developers and artists. He also contributed in the debugging and tuning in the game logic. Fu Qian is good at multiplayer networking theory. He designed the networking framework for the TQ games, utilizing P2P, client-server, client-side interpolation and prediction technologies.
